Mario's Galactic Adventure Trailer Arrives, Introducing Rosalina and Bowser Jr. Voice Cast
Nintendo and Illumination shared the first full-length trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie midweek. The reveal happened in a dedicated Nintendo presentation that focused exclusively on the forthcoming animated feature.
Following up on the 2023 blockbuster The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this latest chapter will transport Mario to the outer limits of the galaxy. In his journey, he meets a different royal figure and a powerful new opponent in Bowser Jr., the heir to Bowser's throne.
A Cosmic Adventure Inspired by Classic Games
In the vein of the Wii-era games that serve as its inspiration, Mario will leave behind the well-known surroundings of the Mushroom Kingdom to journey through the cosmos. Throughout his extensive trek, he will encounter once more some well-known personalities, such as the Luma, a breakout star from the first movie.
But it appears Mario and his sibling Luigi will confront a new threat in the form of Bowser's irate young son, who reportedly utilizes powers related to metal. Worth mentioning, the preview for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is not exclusively centered on visuals from the Galaxy games; it also features references to other beloved games like Super Mario Odyssey and Bowser's Fury.
Star-Studded Voice Cast Reprise Roles and Welcome Newcomers
The movie will feature once again of the primary vocal talent, featuring Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
Fresh faces in the lineup for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are Brie Larson, who will bring to life Rosalina, and Benny Safdie, set to play Bowser Jr. This was confirmed by Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri.

Nintendo has a set of three fresh titles publicly declared for the upcoming year, featuring Mario Tennis Fever, a Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and a latest Yoshi adventure game titled Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.
